Nurses and Professional Healthcare is a nursing registry for a variety of healthcare facilities all over Northern California. We employ RN’s, LVN’s, and CNA’s to skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, clinics, and even schools. Facilities will contract with our company to utilize our staff when they do not have the necessary staff needed to take care of all their residents (this is typically referred to as the nurse to resident ratio). Our facilities will send over shift needs to our internal staffers daily. These staffers will, in turn, offer the open shifts to our nursing staff who can accept or decline the assignments. NPH is essentially the middle man between healthcare facilities and the staff they need. There can be times when our company is confused with a nursing placement agency, but the main difference is we do not allow for our staff to be hired on directly at facilities.

Nurses tend to prefer registry as opposed to working in facilities due to the flexibility and control they have of their schedules, mileage reimbursement, ample opportunities for overtime, and no longer needing to be caught up in the internal politics of a healthcare facility. When working for NPH, our nursing staff can set their own availability and choose whether they would like to accept an assignment. Our main objective as a company is to supply our facilities with as much staff as possible, while simultaneously keeping our nursing staff in the schedules they request.
